Black and White: The Dawn of Justice Movie Review
Black and White: The Dawn of Justice
I attended the gala premiere of Black and White: The Dawn of Justice last Wednesday. As promised, I'm back with a picture with Mark Chao, Director Tsai and The Influencer Network's Bloggers! Special thanks to Clover Films for giving me this opportunity.
Do I look like part of the cast? HAHAHAHA! I'm joking luh don't scold me!
And my +1 for the evening. Such a coincidence as we both wore black and white together again!
With the super tall Allen Chen.
So Mark Chao and Director Tsai entered our theater and gave a short introduction about the film as well as the cast.
Below are a few more pictures during the short interview.
Trailer:
Synopsis:
Panic spreads the whole city as a series of bomb explosions happen within hours and this is just the beginning of a tight-knit conspiracy. Righteous and impulsive, Wu Ying-Xiong is paired up with the intelligent but arrogant loner Chen Zhen to track down the mastermind behind the bombing incidents. Soon Wu and Chen will discover that the bombings are just the prelude to a massive destruction. Stolen military missiles are now aimed at the Harbour City; moreover, a deadly virus is about to breakout, which is so highly contagious that it can devour the whole world in 14 days. All the chaos is planned by the Nightwalkers— a secret assassination squad which used to serve the highest government officials…
Movie Review
This might sound a bit insane but honestly, this show is comparable to many Hollywood movies like Mission Impossible and Iron-Man. Firstly, I would like to applaud the main casts for their great acting. Mark Chao is known to have both the looks and the acting chops. Thus, the one that surprises me more was Lin Geng Xing. I have never watched any of his drama/movies before but I thought he is very natural in this movie which is instrumental since he is the 2nd male lead.
The movie was exciting and gets my adrenaline pumping during the fighting scenes. It is also a great leap forward in terms of the CGI effects as compared to most of the other Asian films. However, certain scenes were over-exaggerated and it bothers me how the main villain (without any superpowers) is able to cause such devastating impact. The quote that I remembered from the movie was 'Evil exists to honor the justice.' This kinda sums up what triggered the evil plan.
That said, this show is definitely a must watch if you are an Asian film fan. If you are not, give this movie a try and you might have a different perspective.
I will rate this movie 4/5 popcorns!
Sneak Previews on the 3rd to 6th October.
