Fat Cat Ice Cream Bar
FAT CAT ICE CREAM BAR
Fat Cat Ice Cream Bar is definitely one of the place to put in your list when you are going cafe-hopping in 2015. Opened on the 1st of Jan 2015, Fat Cat Ice Cream Bar is already quite popular amongst youngsters in Singapore. First and foremost, thank you Sophie for inviting me for the food tasting! It was comfortable and a great place to chill with your friends and family.
The only thing that I could pick on is the location as it is at the East! Being a Westie, I certainly hope they open up more branches! :D
Address: 416 Bedok North Avenue 2 #01-25 Singapore 460416
They are closed on Tuesday and the opening hours are 12pm to 10pm on Mon, Wed, Thurs, Sun and 12pm to 11pm on Friday and Saturday.
The food here are affordable and I absolutely love the ice cream there. There are lots of varieties (18 flavours). The thing is all their ice creams are made from scratch everyday!! How I wished I could eat a scoop every single day. Sorry I didn't manage to take a picture of the ice creams :(
Before I start off, I really love the coffee here! The food at the middle is called Mojito Cocktail Spheres. It's refreshing and trust me, put the whole thing in your mouth and let it burst! It's so damn
SHIOKKKK!!
Straberry Cheescake with Sorbet! The Sorbet is light and nice. Coupled with the mousse cream, it was really tasty! However I thought the portion could be a little bigger. Other than that it's definitely worth a try.
At Fat cat Ice Cream Bar, they are very particular when it comes to the presentation as well. As you can see from all the pictures, the food looks exceptionally nice! So for food Instagrammers out there, you know where to go ;) This is the true definition of #foodporn!
Look at this pretty thing. Initially, I got no idea how to eat this. Am I suppose to like use a spoon to scoop it up? (Super Embarrassing)!! After that, I learned that I'm suppose to sort of 'drink' it. And OMG, it's so creamy! I love creamy things so this is actually my personal favorite! :D I actually wanted to ask if I can have another serving :X
In essence, although location-wise, it might not be as convenient, I still strongly recommend you guys to check this place out. I promise you would not be disappointed!
Saw Uncle Tehpeng that day too! Check out his blog at www.uncletehpeng.com
Last but not least, a pictue with my beloved SP!! Thank Youuuu!! :D

Trip to Jokk Mokk
Hey guys! I'm back after more than month! I was really busy the past few weeks with all the administrative stuffs as well as packing my luggage for exchange! So sorry for the lack of posts. I've been receiving DMs and questions on my Askfm for the lack of posts. Thank you so much and Sorry!
In case you don't know, I am currently on exchange at Sweden, Umea (Umea University)! I will be blogging more about the life here in Umea as well as countries that I will be travelling. Currently, my plan is to travel to Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Germany, UK, Ireland, Spain, Hungary, Belgium, Italy, Czech Republic, Croratia and Netherlands. So if you have got any place that you think is interesting, feel free to drop me a message and share with me your itinerary! :)
Just a 2 weeks ago, I went up to the Arctic Circle to this place called Jokk Mokk in Sweden. The main highlight was of course the winter market as well as experiencing the life of Sami! I set off from Umea at 3am and reached there at around 8am. Thus, pardon my cui face! I was really sleepy.
Reached Polar Circle and decided to take a picture with the sign to prove that I've been up here! The day, the weather was sort of crazy in the evening as it was really cold and windy!
After a long 5 hours trip, we finally made it to this beautiful place! Marketplaces near the Sami winter settlements were established by the swedish crown at the start of 17th century in all Sami Lappish territories on both sides of Gulf of Bothnia where the purpose was to strengthen the state's control of population.
A picture before entering the Winter Market. It is something like Shilin Night Market just that the things here are really unique and of course, much much more expensive.
Definitely looks nice and uniquely Jokkmokk but it's almost SGD $200!
Not forgetting cute soft toys as well as animal shoes! Each pair cost around SGD$35.
One of my favorite! It's really yummy and it is affordable as well. The shop owner told me that all these are Sweden traditional food. Indeed, it's really special. My favorite is the Chokolad ball. It's so chocolaty! :D
And more food (sweet) stalls! I can't read swedish so I really have no clue what the flavours were. So like any typical Singaporean, I just take a few of each!
The people here are really nice. They even had this corner where they serve free hot tea and marshmallows! The feeling of drinking hot tea and bbq-ing marshmallow under such cold weather is SO SHIOKKKK cannnn!
The salmon looks so YUMS! I wanted to try one of them but it is around $30SGD for 200grams if I remember correctly. It's so expensive. :( Gave it a miss as I really need to save money or I can say goodbye to travelling to other countries.
TADA!! THE HIGHLIGHT FOR THE DAY! What do you think it is? Make a quick guess before scrolling down!
REINDEER KEBAB!! Yes, Swedish loves reindeer meat. This costs SGD$10 and to be honest, I kinda like it :/ Yes, I admit reindeer is cute and all but...
There was also a tent where there is this fireplace inside for visitors (like me) that are freezing. It was so cold I couldn't even feel my toes and gloves despite wrapping myself up like a dumpling.
Walked further up the market and look at this gorgeous view! :D
Dog sledding is popular in Sweden and Finland. The Huskies are really adorable. Didn't try this here as I will be doing it when I'm travelling to Finland next week! (On the blog soon!)
One of the Sami events: Reindeer Race! They run really fast and it's also my first time seeing reindeers! It was a little disappointing as they only ran one round which lasted around 20 seconds. But still, it was an eye-opener.
A trip to Jokkmokk was really tiring as I spent almost 10 hours travelling back and fro. However, it was really an eye-opener for me. I will try to blog more often whenever I have the time to share with you guys my experience here in Umea as well as my trips to countries in Europe.
